Yoga Classes In Toms River NJ
Some of the many benefits of yoga include improved flexibility, strength, balance, and posture. Yoga can help boost mental health and aid in sleep, while also relieving stress, inflammation, anxiety, and burnout.
In addition to the physical practice of yoga (yoga asana), yoga includes a wide range of contemplative and self-disciplinary practices, such as meditation and breathwork (pranayama).
The word "yoga" comes from the root word "yuj," which means "to yoke" or "to bind." The word itself has numerous meanings, with the underlying theme being that of connection. We would love to connect with you for yoga classes at our center in Toms River NJ; we offer a range of options for all abilities, levels, and experience.

Meet Christine Dates In Toms River NJ
Yoga Educator
Christine Dates, E-RYT 500
Christine Dates teaches yoga the same way she approaches life off the mat - with sincerity and simplicity, and just the right doses of light-heartedness and fun.
She strives to hold space that feels welcoming and inspired, and encourages each person in class to honor their unique experiences and abilities. To that end, Christine presents an intentional sequence of yoga asana filled with variety and options. She likes to think of her classes as a container in which students can hone their physical mobility, stability, and strength, while also developing deeper mental clarity and emotional trust in the teacher that resides within themselves. Christine is a certified experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), and in addition to yoga specific training programs, she continues to advance her education by working closely with and learning from physical therapists, chiropractors, and a variety of movement specialists. Christine teaches public and private yoga classes, workshops, series, and retreats in-person and online at www.christinedates.com.
Yoga Educator
Kate Lewis, E-RYT 500
Kate Lewis has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over a decade. After trying yoga on a whim and getting immediately hooked, Kate loved the mental peace and clarity that she gained each time she stepped onto her mat, and credits yoga and meditation for helping her get her through the difficult life events that she was experiencing at the time.
Because of the deep healing and personal benefits she received from yoga, Kate knew that she wanted to share this gift with others. Kate left her corporate career in sales to obtain her 200 hour certification with Fire Shaper in 2017. She then went on to receive her 500 hour certification with Raji Thron of Yoga Synthesis in 2018 and has continued her education in this field ever since.
Kate has led well over 1,000 group and one on one yoga classes and guided meditations. She enjoys working with students of all levels and uses an all-inclusive and trauma-informed approach.
Kate encourages her students to practice self-love and acceptance while breaking through their personal barriers. She hopes to show her students that anyone and everyone can enjoy the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits that yoga and meditation have to offer, no matter where they are at in their lives.
